This document will guide you through the steps of connecting ActiveCampaign to Summit Evergreen.
Overview
Connecting your ActiveCampaign account to Summit Evergreen will allow you to add users to a specified list when they sign up for a course.
To connect ActiveCampaign and Summit Evergreen, you will need to:
- Get API key and URL in ActiveCampaign
- Add API key and URL to Summit Evergreen
- Add the name of the ActiveCampaign list you would like to insert the customer in, in the Summit Evergreen tier details
Setting Up ActiveCampaign for Connecting to Summit Evergreen
Get API Key and URL in ActiveCampaign
- Login to ActiveCampaign (http://www.activecampaign.com/)
- Click on “My Settings” in dropdown menu in upper right corner
- On left side of screen, select “Developer”
- This will bring up a screen that will show you your URL and API key – note them
Add the API Key and URL to Summit Evergreen
- Login to your Summit Evergreen account
- In the left navigation menu, select “Settings”, then “Apps”
- In the left pane, select “ActiveCampaign”
- This will bring up a page in the right pane that provides ActiveCampaign integration details – in this page, enter the URL (in the Application Name field) and the API key you got from ActiveCampaign (see screen below)
- Hit “Save” in the lower right corner
Add the ActiveCampaign mailing list to Summit Evergreen
- In the left navigation menu, select “Structure”, then “Tiers”
- In the left pane, select the tier for which you want to set up ActiveCampaign integration
- This will bring up a page in the right pane that provides tier details (see screen below)
- In this page, scroll down to “CRM” – in the dropdown box, select “ActiveCampaign”
- In the “Mailing List” box, add the name of the ActiveCampaign mailing list you’d like to use and hit “Save” in the lower right corner
- And you’re done!
A few tips:
- To get the name of the mailing list, go into ActiveCampaign and select “Lists” in the top navigation menu
- From the group of lists that appears, copy the name of the mailing list you’d like to use (see screen below)
- Note that although ActiveCampaign has tags, the Summit Evergreen integration does not, so your customers will get added to an ActiveCampaign mailing list
