This document will guide you through the steps of connecting AWeber to Summit Evergreen.
Overview
Connecting your AWeber account to Summit Evergreen will allow you to add users to a specified list when they sign up for a course. Please note that due to limitations with AWeber, all users added in this way will receive a “confirm your email” notification in their inbox. To connect AWeber to Summit Evergreen, you will need to do the following:
- Add an email parser to your AWeber account
- Select AWeber in the CRM section of the Summit Evergreen tier details
- Add the name of the AWeber unique ID for the mailing list you would like to insert the customer in, in the Summit Evergreen tier details

Add the Email Parser to your AWeber Account
- Log into AWeber (http://www.aweber.com)
- In the top right corner, click on “List Options” and then select “Email Parsers”
- Scroll to the bottom and click “Add New Custom Parser”
- Enter the following information:
- Description: Summit Evergreen Parser
- Trigger Rule: From:[^\n|.]+crmtagging\@summitevergreen.com
- Match on “headers”
- Decode HTML Entities: No
- Rule 1: Leave as Default
- Match “body”
- Store in “email”
- Rule 2: Leave as Default
- Match “body”
- Store in “name”
- Click “Save”
- Scroll to the bottom of the page, and check the box next to “Summit Evergreen Parser”
- You don’t need to complete AWeber’s “Final Step”
- You will need to check the “Summit Evergreen Parser” for each list that you want to enable it for

Configure Summit Evergreen to Integrate with AWeber
To set up Aweber email integration, do the following:
- In the left navigation menu, select “Settings”, then “Apps”
- In the left pane, select “Aweber”
- This will bring up a page in the right pane that provides Aweber email integration details – make sure page indicates that Aweber is enabled
- Hit “Save” in the lower right corner
- In the left navigation menu, select “Structure”, then “Tiers”
- In the left pane, select the tier for which you want to set up Aweber integration
- This will bring up a page in the right pane that provides tier details
- In this page, scroll down to “CRM” – in the dropdown box, select “Aweber”
- In the “Mailing List” box, enter the name of the Aweber unique ID (see screenshot below)
- Hit “Save” in the lower right corner
And you’re done!
NOTE: The way Aweber works, you must have your integration set up in Aweber before you can begin to use it in Summit Evergreen. If you try to use it in Summit Evergreen without the integration being set up in Aweber, the Aweber system will “bounce” your Summit Evergreen emails and mark them as “bad email addresses”, causing it to not work properly for your Summit Evergreen emails.
